Lynette Alt Mathis, president of international logistics and transportation company ALTernative Logistics (ALT) has succeeded and excelled in a competitive industry. Following in the footsteps of her mentor Marcia G. Taylor, president and CEO of one the largest private global transportation companies in the U.S., Alt has developed ALTernative Logistics into a 3PL that services government agencies and corporations worldwide.
Since 1989, Alt and her staff have successfully grown the company from a small regional carrier into a multi-million dollar international company. ALT proudly maintains a 98% on-time delivery rating with its range of corporate and government customers.
ALTernative Logistics has increased business and profits significantly by becoming a preferred diversity supplier for emerging markets including the Department of Defense, major exporters and other companies seeking the competitive advantage of partnering with a small, woman-owned business.
Alt serves as an advisory board member with the Greater Women's Business Council, a non-profit organization for certified women's business enterprises (WBEs) in Georgia, North and South Carolina. ALTernative Logistics also is a member of Women In Defense, the National Defense Transportation Association.
